About

Hello, my name is Erin Pittman. Welcome to my blog! I am a senior public relations major with a minor in business administration at the University of Southern Mississippi. I am involved in various organizations on campus such as the Epsilon Delta chapter of Chi Omega where I serve as the Fundraising Chair, the Luckyday Scholars program, and Phi Eta Sigma honor society. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and volunteering at Wesley Manor Retirement Community. I developed my love for volunteering in high school, but the Luckyday program has allowed me to grow my passion for helping people in college.

I actually grew up in Bolton, MS, which is near Jackson. However, I switched schools multiple times when I was growing up, so I consider the whole Jackson Metro area to be my hometown. Because I went to so many schools, I have friends from all walks of life, and I was able to appreciate the importance of networking from an early age. When I was looking at colleges to attend, I toured the schools that most people from my area went to, but I ended up falling in love with Southern Miss. Hardly anyone from my area goes there, but I wanted to be different, and I am so glad that I did. Southern Miss has allowed me to flourish as a student and meet so many new people.

While the purpose of this blog is for academic and professional use, I plan to write about many of the issues and topics that I am passionate about. I plan to feature posts about fashion and politics and travel because those are all extremely important aspects of my personality. I hope this blog will give you more insight into who I am as a person and world events that I feel need to be addressed.

Below I have inserted some of my favorite photos from the first three years of my college career so that you have the opportunity to get to know me better.
